HealthSpace Data Systems Ltd. has signed an 18-month extension to the existing contract with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) worth an additional $690,000 (U.S.). This is the second extension to the original contract that originally expired June 30, 2015. The new extension took effect July 1, 2017, and will run until Dec. 31, 2018.

Further, HealthSpace is in negotiation with VDH for a long-term agreement that will cover the deployment and hosting of a new HealthSpace cloud application, HealthSpace CS Pro, across the Commonwealth.

HealthSpace president Joseph Willmott stated: “VDH is one of the largest integrated state-wide health authorities in America with 900 users, combining 35 regional health districts and serving a population of almost nine million people. We are pleased to continue serving VDH as we transition to our new technology platform.”
